Confessions Of A Pastor comes to a close this Sunday. We had so much fun with it that we extended the series a week from its original design!
OK, there were some other reasons as well. But of all series to extend, this seemed like the one.
So my last confession has to do with my attitude. It can be bad. Cynical. Suspicious. Sarcastic (see Wednesday’s post). Negative.
Sound familiar? Does it sound like your attitude?
Come for a big attitude adjustment on Sunday. 8:30. 10:00. 11:30.

Hey Talbot,
I’m with you brother. cynicism, suspicion, or as James Michael and I talked about this morning, “discernment”. All ways which I fear I wind up cutting people down. What is so difficult for me is that I truly believe that God wants us walking in “discernment”, and not simply jumping on bandwagons. But true spiritual discernment and judgment are two different things and I don’t always know where that line is. Now sarcasm, that’s a different story. I needed my mouth washed out with spiritual soap many times before I finally understood the hurt that subtle insults can cause. Although I’m not sure I’ve grown much in that area. You may have to ask my wife that one.
Talbot,
What a great sermon! Thanks for a reminder of an attitude adjustment. We can always find something to complain about. The key is turning complaints to praise in every situation embracing what God sends apart from our emotions!
Keep up the great work!
