That anything termed a “Wake Up Call” through the years — whether it has to do with drug use, underage drinking, STDs, or cultural violence — hasn’t woken us up?

That “high touch / low threat” ways of sharing the gospel usually work better than the bullhorn method?

This one meant the most to me. For someone to essentially say with their presence and/or friendship, “It’s okay. I’m right here with you.” Just that. It’s really huge.
I have to respond to this and say that I agree with Jessica…”That people in the middle of great sadness or grief need your presence more than your advice..” This was so very true for me when both my brother and my most favorite uncle, who was my father figure, died within months of each other. Dennis Sult was there just to give a hug and listen to me drone on about all the things I loved about them and honestly, that was all I really needed. You and Ron and my whole church family seemed to be there for me when I really was grieving and in need…just to feel the presence of my Good Shepherd family got me through one of the worse seasons of my life. Thank you for that. People can feel Jesus as He works through others…just to be there.
